Project 3 - Documentary film on Okhai
Okhai is a handicraft brand in the Saurashtra region of Gujarat that does appliqué and
embroidery on apparel, accessories and home furnishing products. It was started in 2002 by
Tata Chemicals Society for Rural Development in Mithapur, providing livelihood to 450 women
from the neighboring villages by channelizing their traditional handicraft skills.The documentary film tells the story of Okhai, the women and their craft.
